I have been involved with some form of art or crafts my whole life. I inherited the “arty” gene from my mother’s side of the family, I guess - grandmother, mother and aunt.
I have taken various craft classes and art classes throughout the years and have settled, mainly, on my favorite medium - oil painting, after years of working with pastels, water colors, oil pens and acrylics. However, I do work with other mediums on request or as the mood strikes me.
Retiring after 20 years working for the State of California in Sacramento, CA, my husband and I traveled, by motorhome, the entire U.S., Baja, Canada and Alaska where I took many pictures which I use as subjects for a lot of my paintings.
We spent 5 years - 2009-2013 - in the art community of Mesquite, NV. In 2011 I was the featured “Artist of the Month”. I was fortunate and sold 3 of my paintings during the time we spent in Mesquite.
After 22 years of extensive travels we are now settled in Lincoln, CA permanently. I am a member of the Art League of Lincoln and an active member of the Painter’s Club in the Sun City Lincoln Hills development.
